MASSAI is one of the defining constructions of the Jitrois House, crafted using the signature Minoray technique.
Designed directly on the mannequin, it is constructed from fine, hand-cut strips of stretch patent lambskin leather, each folded and assembled one by one onto a silk organza base, following the natural lines of the body. The volume is not added, but generated through construction, allowing the silhouette to emerge with precision and continuity.
The disciplined layering of the strips naturally pre-shapes the bust and stabilises the silhouette while preserving full freedom of movement. The structure remains flexible, never rigid, maintaining the sensation of a second skin.
In its patent version, the Minoray construction becomes visibly active. The surface captures and reflects light with every movement, revealing the rhythm of the structure through contrast and tension. The architecture remains exact, yet the perception becomes sharper, more immediate, more exposed.
A stretch back panel ensures lasting comfort and adaptability, while a tone-on-tone zip provides a clean and precise closure. The high neckline extends the vertical axis, leaving the shoulders bare and reinforcing the architectural clarity of the silhouette.
MASSAI functions as a structured second skin — sculptural yet living — where couture construction meets immediate bodily presence. On its own, it asserts a precise and controlled presence, in evenings and moments where the silhouette draws the eye.
