JITROIS LEATHER
A leather conceived for the body and the eye
At Jitrois, leather is conceived at the intersection of body and gaze.
Constructed to follow movement with precision, it reveals a visual beauty born of cut, controlled tension and mastery of the material.
Jitrois leather is approached as an active material, capable of adapting to anatomy, following gesture and enduring over time. Each piece is designed to support the body in motion while asserting a clear, controlled and immediately legible visual presence.
Jitrois leather refers to couture leather, crafted in France — primarily from lambskin — designed to accompany the body’s movement while offering comfort, structure and visual beauty.

Couture of movement in leather
Jitrois leather is worked according to a couture logic.
Cut, construction and assembly are conceived in dialogue with the body: precision of line, balance of volumes and accuracy of tension.
This approach requires a material capable of responding to movement without constraint or rigidity. Through this research, the House has developed and perfected plongé lambskin, stretch plongé lambskin, as well as lamb suede, smooth or stretch, all designed to accompany the body freely while preserving the garment’s structure.
Quality, origin and leather selection
A decisive origin
Leather quality begins at its source.
The lambskins selected by Jitrois come from the French and Spanish Pyrenees, valued for the fineness of their grain, their regularity and their ability to become supple, resilient and stable over time.
This origin provides a dual guarantee:
-
the quality of the material, essential to precision of cut and comfort when worn
-
the coherence and responsibility of the supply chain, based on carefully controlled European sourcing
French tanning — Graulhet region
Tanning is carried out in France, in the Graulhet region, a historic center of leather craftsmanship.
This choice allows rigorous control of processes, color depth, hand-feel and leather performance.
Each leather is treated to preserve its natural character while meeting the demands of couture movement: controlled elasticity, stability and visual intensity.
Jitrois leathers
Depending on use and design, the House works with different leathers, selected for what they allow the body to do:
-
Plongé lambskin, valued for its fluidity, softness and richness of color
-
Stretch plongé lambskin, developed to offer increased freedom of movement while maintaining precision and support
-
Lamb suede, smooth or stretch, for softer, matte and velvety visual expressions
Material selection is always guided by its behavior once worn.

Made-to-measure and special orders
The House of Jitrois also creates made-to-measure pieces and special orders, developed in close dialogue with clients.
Depending on the project, these creations may include exotic skins, selected with the same level of quality and control as all Jitrois leathers.
The use of such skins strictly complies with the CITES Convention, ensuring traceability, legality and responsibility for every material employed.
The essential role of the cutter
Before assembly comes a foundational gesture: cutting the leather.
At Jitrois, the cutter holds a central role.
Their eye recognizes color nuances with absolute precision. They read the hide, respect its direction and anticipate its behavior in movement. Each piece is cut by hand, individually, in direct and attentive relationship with the material.
This gesture determines the accuracy of the final garment. It embodies a fundamental principle: a material interpreted, never standardized.
Manufacturing workshops in France
Based in Paris, the House of Jitrois designs and manufactures its leather pieces in France, working closely with Parisian and regional workshops.
This proximity ensures a high level of control, consistency and fidelity to the original design.
Producing less, but better.
Creating pieces designed to last, to patinate and to accompany the body over time.

The sensation of wearing Jitrois leather
Wearing Jitrois leather creates a heightened sense of presence.
The garment follows the body with precision, supports movement and structures the silhouette without restriction. It remains discreet in action while affirming line, intention and stance.
This sensation arises from a rare balance: total freedom of movement combined with a feeling of stability and confidence. The body feels supported, aligned and naturally affirmed.
Over time, the leather softens, develops a patina and adapts to gesture.
It retains the memory of the body while reinforcing this sense of accuracy — as if the garment became an evident extension of the wearer.
What Jitrois leather provides is not only an allure.
It is an affirmed presence, a subtle sensuality, and a freedom felt within the body.
