The women's leather clothing of the Jitrois house forms an entire wardrobe conceived in the material: the dress, the trousers, the shirt and the jumpsuit are worn in leather with the ease of a piece in wool or silk. Designed in Paris, the Jitrois wardrobe is intended for a contemporary woman defined by her autonomy, her awareness of the body and her intention. Seasonless by nature, it is built on continuity: each piece is designed to last and to evolve with the body, beyond the collections.

Stretch leather, a material that follows the body

Jean-Claude Jitrois invented stretch leather in the mid-1990s. The lambskin is bonded to a cotton and elastane fibre, 97% cotton and 3% elastane: it stretches, then returns to its shape, with the suppleness of a knit. The colour keeps all its depth, and the leather becomes a second skin: it sculpts the silhouette with grace while leaving the body complete freedom of movement. The house can thus cut a leather dress or pair of trousers as close to the body as a daytime garment.

Three skins structure the women's wardrobe:

• Stretch lambskin, finer and lighter than cowhide or goatskin, the base of most pieces
• Stretch suede, velvety and matte, for dresses, skirts, shirts and trousers
• Patent leather, on the GALACTICA jackets, the SOLO mini skirts and the corset belts

Rarer skins, python, leopard-print cavallino or skin jean, mark a few exceptional pieces.

Leather dresses

The richest family of the wardrobe brings together around forty models. The ALANIS dress, the belted AGATHA in stretch suede and the ATLANTIC offer its purest lines. The embroidered ANNA, JOURDAN and ERIKA dresses carry the house's embroidery savoir-faire, and the long AURA with its metal insert is the evening version. The CARLA and ARIEL dresses pair stretch leather with silk.

The palette runs from deep black to nude, powder pink, burnt red, celadon and opal green.

Leather jackets and blousons

Women's leather jackets cover every style. The GALACTICA jacket comes in black, ivory, red, opal green and bordeaux patent leather; the fitted GATTACA also exists in a cropped version. The RIDER biker, with its asymmetrical zip, in black or dark brown stretch leather and in tobacco suede, draws on the motorcycle and rock world. The ARLETTY basque jacket, cinched, draws the eye to the waist; the KATE blazer and the COEUR in plongé lambskin bring the codes of tailoring to leather.

For the evening, the ruffled JAGGER and the DYNA in embroidered leather mesh carry the house's boldest signature. The cropped ANGEL blouson in python and the CROSS, KAM and HONEY jackets, enhanced with fox at the collar or shoulders, are its most precious pieces.

Leather coats

Women's leather coats structure the winter silhouette. The MELINA trench in stretch leather comes in black, mahogany and pebble grey, and in taupe stretch suede. The long, belted TRINITY coat in plongé lambskin and the ruffled JAGGER, short or long, assert the line. Leather trousers are the piece that best reveals stretch leather, one whose versatility carries through the whole day, from morning to evening. The WYNN skinny comes in black and coffee leather, in red or blue skin jean and in patinated Hallu leather.
